Open Shop

Open Shop is a full featured shopping cart solution for Elxis CMS 5.x created by Ioannis Sannos (Is Open Source). With Open Shop you can sell both tangible and intangible (like downloadable) goods online. The component supports many payment gateways and shipping methods and you can install even more. The component interface is multi-lingual and allows you to enter products title, description, etc, in unlimited number of languages.

Attention: Since version 3.5 Open Shop requires Elxis 5.4 or newer

Most important features: Unlimited categories and sub-categories of any level, shoppers groups, advanced products search, product tags and tags cloud, special offers, products comparison and wish list. Support for digital, intangible and dow loadable goods. Discounts, discount coupons and gift certificates. Product variants and price modifiers. A product may display a price or can use the Call For price feature. Any currency support. Various shipping and payment methods (like paypal and alpha bank e-commerce). Open payments support. Integration with Newsletter module, Sales reports and logistics book with graphs that can be exported as excel (xls) spreedsheets, Products XML export for price comparison sites (skroutz.gr, bestprice.gr), mobile friendly (responsive design), PDF and printable version invoices, and many many more cool features. Version 1.4: Added more currencies and an exchange rates manager which allows you to set the exchange rate for non supported by European Central Bank currencies. Now you can switch currency to/from any currency!

Version 1.5: Fix for various small problems like typo errors.

Version 1.6: Fixed problem adding in cart products with 2 or more price modifiers. Fixed hide prices when working as a products catalogue.

Version 2.0: Full re-design of Open Shop. New HTML, new CSS, Call for price feature, Piraeus bank ePOS payment gateway, downloadable documentation file for any immaterial product, after sales support/informational link for any product, PDF invoices, export reports as Excel (XLS), Licenses Management System (LMS - commercial addon by isopensource.com), payment simulator for Paypal, improved templating system and much more. If you upgrade from Open Shop v1.x to v2x the style and layout of your existing shop will be reset to Open Shop 2.0 default.

Version 2.1: Added option to set custom invoices prefix. Added option to set custom email address for store. Order emails are now send in both plain text and html format. Added reply to address in emails sent by shop (requires Elxis 4.5 rev1909 or newer).

Version 2.2: Improved compatibility with Elxis 5.x and redesign of control panel

Version 2.3: Improved compatibility with Elxis 5.x, electronic invoice for EC Pay and some small bug fixes. For Chinese font support in PDF invoices: download DroidSansFallback.ttf and copy it in fonts directory. Use Elxis forum for more help.

Version 2.7 (r151): Built-in colour and size options for products which can be selected by the customers. Product size can be bind to product stock (availability per size). Import products from Joomla/Virtuemart shopping cart. Improved products export for skroutz.gr and bestprice.gr. You can delete attached files to products. Removed Elxis 4.x support. Improved Elxis 5.x interface. Fixed a few small errors.

Version 3.0 (r174): Improved frontend design and functionality, new styling. Brand new discount coupons system. New payment method Cash on Delivery. Alerts in control panel. Removed shipping method selection page (included in checkout page). Attention: If you upgrade from v2.x to v3.x any existing discount coupons will be deleted as the coupons system changes completely in v3.x.

Version 3.1 (r189): Upload product images using AJAX. Altetrnative method to display product images with zoom. Display product image and other options (configurable columns) in administration products list. Display discount without ending zeros if it is integer. Link to product page on product editing page. New parameter to control product image width in product page. Link to category page from category edit page. Fix wrong redirection on checkout finish when cash on delivery payment method is selected. Small improvements in frontend section. Bug fix: Saving orders with shid = 0. ATTENTION: Before update, if you use terms and conditions, back up this file: components/com_shop/shopterms.txt. After the update is complete restore the previously backed up file.

Version 3.3 (r204): PHP 8 support, TCPDF update, fix GROUP BY queries when sql.mode = ONLY_FULL_GROUP_BY

Version 3.4 (r241): Added LinePay payment method. Fix sending double email to admin. Javascript check before saving products in order to eliminate bad sumbissions. Convert spaces in images filenames to dashes. Keep filtered category active after editing a product. The shop check function in administration area now reports as problems products without manufacturer, with empty or invalid SKU and with empty or invalid image. In cart page you can change the preferable shipping method. The selected shipping method is maintained and in checkout page. Improved micro-data for Google. Removed trailing slashes from void elements in HTML. Small fixes and improvements.

Version 3.5 (r263): Import and export products as CSV or XML documents. Support for product related files such as user manual, documentation, usage instructions, etc (unlimited files per product). Support for webp images. Search orders by ordered product. Added Web price option. FILTER_SANITIZE_STRING replacement (PHP 8.1+, Elxis 5.4+). Update currencies exchange rate on install.

Version 3.6: Compatibility with Elxis 5.5 JSON parameters.
